Special needs support

I empower students to create art, especially those who don't  fit into traditional art classes.  I take pride in providing personalized and inclusive art classes for individuals with diverse abilities.

I support people who are...

01

Neurodivergent
(ASD, ADHD, +)

I had a student with ASD who exclusively preferred using a pencil and white paper for drawing, rejecting the use of color or paint. Another student with ADHD found it challenging to sit still during art sessions. Despite their love for art, these individuals often face difficulties in traditional art classes. My approach focuses on nurturing their unique strengths, allowing their passion for art to shine while celebrating who they are.

02

Though giftedness is a part of neurodiversity, it requires distinct support.

As the Founder/Teacher of the Japan and U.S. Association of Gifted Education, I bring a wealth of experience and a passionate commitment to nurturing gifted students. In my art classes designed for gifted and advanced learners, I incorporate innovative gifted education methods such as "depth and complexity" and "genius hour" to enhance students' critical thinking and encourage thinking outside of the box.

03

physical and mental challenges

Over the decade, I have been supporting young artists with physical and mental challenges in Japan and US.  I am skilled in collaborating with occupational therapists to incorporate therapeutic elements into art classes. By involving occupational therapists in the art-making process, these artists have not only created meaningful artworks but have also successfully sold them.
