What to Expect

I will guide you on how to build your art as a comprehensive package suitable for the art market, academia, or art communities.

01

Art Critique (Crit)

Art critique is a common practice in BFA and MFA programs. This is where you receive honest feedback on your art from peers and teachers, presenting an invaluable opportunity to learn how to receive and use critique to enhance your art. While having a BFA or MFA is not necessary to become a great artist, missing out on critique can be a significant drawback. I offer art critique sessions, providing you with the chance to toughen your skin, much like other artists experience in their college settings.

02

Mastering Your Artist Statement, Bio and CV

Crafting your artist statement, bio, and CV is essential for your artistic career, serving as crucial components for your website and playing a pivotal role in applications for artist grants, residency programs, competitions, and exhibitions. Despite their significance, many artists find it challenging to compose these documents. During my time as a graduate student in New York City, specifically at Columbia University and Hunter College (CUNY), a professional grant writer was enlisted to teach MFA students the art of preparing this documentation. Since then, I have been dedicated to assisting fellow artists in mastering the skill of crafting impactful documents.

03

Designing a website to showcase your art at its best

Numerous art submission processes in the art world necessitate the presentation of your personal website. I will assist you in documenting your artworks, organizing your portfolio, and determining the essential information to include on your website. This guidance aims to ensure that your work stands out distinctively in a competitive landscape.

04

How to find opportunities to show and sell your work

If you consistently create art, it's only natural to want to showcase it to a wider audience. But do you know how to go about it? I can offer a comprehensive list of opportunities and provide support in identifying the right places or markets that align with your art.
